You can actually buy paneer in USA? My sikh friends always use it home made,but for a beginner-in-punjabi-cuisine,like me, it would be a solution.
I have never seen paneer sold here in the USA, but perhaps in a specialty grocery?
Is it correct that “paneer” is the same as “curds”? Take one gallon of milk and bring it just to a boil. Add the juice of a small lemon and watch the milk split into curds and whey. Pour through a sieve and then hang the curds up in cheese cloth, overthe sink, to further drain.

That is how it is made.
I think something heavy is put on top to remove all the liquid.
Can the recipe be used with tofu as well?
